Robby H. Birnbaum serves as AFSLR President and is a partner at the law firm of Greenspoon Marder in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mr. Birnbaum has significant experience in counseling student loan providers relief providers on compliant business practices.
Mr. Birnbaum earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin, double majoring in Political Science and English. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School. During his graduate studies, Mr. Birnbaum interned for Justice William Bablitch of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He was also a member of the Wisconsin International Law Journal and clerked for Judge Jeffery Wagner in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
Andrew DiRamio is the Co-Founder and COO of Student Debt USA. He manages day-to-day operations from client relations to employee management, and truly has a hand in every aspect of the business. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the startup world, Andrew quickly identified a need in the student loan repayment space and jumped at the opportunity to start his own business. He founded Student Debt USA to increase awareness of student loan forgiveness options and help borrowers make educated repayment decisions. Though he spends many a late night holed up in the office, he blows off steam on the golf course. In fact, Andrew enjoys competing in the Massachusetts amateur circuit and most recently has competed in 3 USGA National Championships.
Erica L. Franqui focuses in the areas of regulatory practices and compliance for debt management, debt settlement, telemarketing, student loan consolidations and money transmitting businesses; as well as licensing for other state and federally regulated business. Ms. Franqui is also a Certified Associate in Anti-Money Laundering and BSA Compliance. Prior to forming Franqui Totten LLP with her litigation partners, Ms. Franqui was a sole practitioner at her own firm having previously served as General Counsel for large Nonprofit Corporations and an international money transmitting company.
Robert Madden has over 10 years’ experience working in the Direct Marketing Industry. Today he focuses on producing high quality direct marketing campaigns with an emphasis on lead generation and sales conversion. He is actively developing and analyzing new products and trends. Robert prides himself on keeping his finger on the pulse of the industry and providing relevant information to people who are as passionate about the direct marketing industry as himself.
Joshua Valentine has a long history of business growth and success in multiple industries. Most currently, he is the founder of Document Benefit Center, an industry leading, fully compliant, true document preparation fulfillment and training company for the Federal student loan relief industry. He has a very transparent approach to sharing information to help others in the student loan relief industry successfully serve their clients and make the industry stronger. He’s consulted for hire helping other companies successfully launch and grow their current businesses in the student loan relief space. Joshua has been on the Advisory Board for The Association For Student Loan Relief, since its inception.
Mr. Ruggeri is a Certified Public Accountant that has been in private practice for over 20 years. He completed his Post Graduate work as well as earned Bachelors of Science degrees in both Accounting and Finance from the University of South Florida. He has conducted continuing education seminars throughout the United States to individual state CPA Societies and has been a speaker at the National Association of Tax Preparers Convention in Washington D.C. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he also holds the following designations; Chartered Global Managerial Accountant (CGMA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). His current role is Chief Financial Officer at Account Management Plus, Inc.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mary Skinner got her degree in Fashion Design. She had accumulated lots of Student loans. When she had learned about this industry, it just made sense for her to help borrowers struggling with student loans. Student Help Group was started in 2014, and has since grown and expanded into a back end processing company assisting affiliates and their clients. Mary lives in Agoura Hills with her husband and 2 children. When she’s not in the office, you can find her teaching yoga for non profits, or on the beach making sand castles with her kids and watching her husband surf.
Mr. Welke’s career began as an analyst in Credit Suisse First Boston’s (CSFB) real estate investment banking group in New York City. Mr. Welke, founded ECW Investco, LLC in 2005, an investment company focusing on both structured finance and real estate transactions. Among other things, ECW currently has made several investments in the consumer debt relief space. Mr. Welke has several active investments and also serves on several advisory boards for companies and trade groups focusing on consumer finance.
Mr. Welke is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems.
